Maple Palace Chinese Restaurant

This was our first visit in over 10 years and we were not disappointed, the new owners have made a huge change in the quality of food!! The food was incredible, hands down the best Sweet & Sour Pork we have ever had, the almond chicken was juicy and tender, the chowmein yummy and the deep fried shrimp tasty. Moon, our server, was lovely from the moment she entered the restaurant; until we left. We can’t wait to go back again, highly recommend!! And the prices are the best I’ve seen in a long time, thank you so much for an amazing experience Moon!! Our only concern is the stairs leading up to the restaurant on the 2nd floor, they are falling apart and a building code hazards, whoever own that industrial building needs to get those fixed asap!!!

Oh my goodness, exceptional top notch service from Jane right from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a wonderful smile and hello. Lovely mountain views in the distance and enjoyed watching the small planes landing and taking off. The food was so good. The pan fried prawns delicious. Huge plates of food. The chicken chop suey was so good. Will absolutely be going back.

Found this restaurant tonight after encountering road closures on West Saanich. What a pleasant surprise. We were greeted and served by Moon and her wonderful smile. There is inside and outside seating with views over the airport and the sunset. Fast service, Delicous food, nice variety, reasonable price. We will be back.

This restaurant is one of Sidney's best. Their new owners have totally upgraded the menu, and I would put them up against some of the best restaurants in Vancouver. I love the decor, and it's really cool eating while overlooking the runway. Their service is excellent, friendly and prompt, and they can spice to different levels depending on your tastes. This family run restaurant is reasonably priced too. They certainly don't skimp on portions. I've been here four times since the new owners took over and every time has been a great experience.

Tasty Chinese food overlooking the airport what more could you ask for. Lovely staff with tasty food options. Loved the sweet and sour pork and great noodles.

If you are heading or leaving Swartz Bay for the ferry, this is a good location to have your early dinner or lunch. You don't need to worry the traffic of HWY 17. It only takes less than 15 minutes from the terminal. It's located in the second floor while in front of airport. This is a comfortable seating area with a wide open view. I think this is the only Chinese restaurant with a view in Victoria. Plenty of parking there. The western Chinese food is what you expected. The food is fresh and hot with reasonable price. You may try the dry beef chow fun ( rice noodles). This beef rice noodles is same as the restaurant in Vancouver. We order cream corn egg chicken soup to go with the noodles. We all like it. The lady server is nice and helpful. The Chinese wall painting in and out of the restaurant is nice too.

We decided to give this place a try as we have heard for years that Sidney has good Chinese food and the other restaurant is closed on Sundays. We were pleasantly surprised!! The sweet and sour chicken balls were the best we’ve ever had; so much meat, perfect amount of batter and beautifully fried. The beef chow fun had so much beef and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Kung pow chicken was delicious as well as the egg foo young. All the portions were very generous and we had lots of leftovers to take home. We have tried most Chinese restaurants in and around Victoria and this may be the best one out there. The location may seem odd at first, but it’s pretty cool watching the planes come and go. The service is warm and friendly and the food is of the utmost quality. We will be sure to order takeout or dine in anytime we are around Sidney in the future.
